DIRECTIONS TO THE ORION OBSERVATORY |

From Interstate Hwy 101 take the Santa Margarita Exit (south of Atascadero and north of San Luis Obispo and Cuesta Grade) and proceed (right/east) through the town of Santa Margarita. Just beyond the edge of town, turn right on Estrada, across the railroad tracks, following the signs to Santa Margarita Lake. Estrada turns into Pozo Rd. Stay on Pozo. About 7 miles out on Pozo Rd. you will come to a fork in the road and a sign that says Rinconada General Store. Stay to the right and go another few hundred yards on Pozo, to the Rinconada Trailer Park sign. Turn left into the park, go straight up the little hill, past the trailers on your right, to the Red Barn (which you can see as soon as you turn in.) We are right across from the Red Barn. Look for a patio, telescope—Rainbow's End, Space 38. Please park around the edge of the circle drive. (Please do not park beside our space as this will block our neighbor’s driveway.) |
